Job Description Job Description LHH is working with our client a manufacturing company in their search for a contract Cost Accountant to take ownership of its cost accounting process. This position will sit onsite in on the east side of Cleveland, OH and will focus on establishing procedures, implementing systems, and creating structure for accurate costing across a large inventory base. You'll have guidance from leadership but will be expected to build the framework and drive improvements independently. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead Review overhead rates and ensure accurate cost allocation Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances; prepare monthly reports Lead process improvements for inventory accuracy and internal controls Partner with engineering, procurement, and operations to identify cost-saving opportunities Provide financial analysis for new products, process changes, and strategic decisions Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field At least 4 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation Advanced Excel skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Pay Details: $38.00 to $43.00 per hour Search managed by: Jessica Robbins Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
